Remotely Operated Vehicles vs. Underwater Drones

In our opinion, an 'underwater drone' is an entry level ROV (remotely operated vehicle) system that is ≤100m depth rated, out-of -the-box ready, primarily used for video and generally very low-cost (relatively speaking).  Another defining aspect of an underwater drone is its inability to add auxiliary payloads like sonars, water quality probes, etc.
